1. CASA BONA

What we love

  • High-end aesthetic/design fully furnished lifestyle studio

  • Natural light

  • Location and amenities

  • Private, spacious.

Casa Bona is a spacious and dimensional space boasting lots of visual intrigue. I admore the many angles and vingettes you can use. It is a warm toned, bright space perfect for brands that desire to tell a story. It also has a mini kitchen and private washroom.

Things to consider

  • This is a very warm toned space. If a brand is minimal cool toned it wouldn’t be a good fit.

Things to consider

  • This space best suits groups of 8 or under, especially if part of that 8 is a HMUA team.

What we love

  • Spacious and minimal, partial furnished

  • Cyclorama wall + Lifestyle wall

  • Natural light

Their studio is a great fit for both personal and commercial work as they are spacious and come with the basic amenities of washrooms and makeup stations. It’s a versatile space you can transform into your own making it easy to introduce your own personal branding elements for a customized look.

Things to consider

  • Best suited for minimal commercial shoots as opposed to lifestyle

6. Mint Room Studios

What we love

  • Easy to book/minimal time commitment

  • Simple setting multiple studios with optional furniture

  • Reliable soft natural light

Mint Room Studios offer several studio rooms within their vicinity. This very busy venue has a system of catering to small and large shoots alike - offering versatility. The only downside is that some of their studios are not completely private as in you can hear what’s going on in the next rooms (so you can’t play your music).

Things to consider

  • Oct-Jan they dress every studio in Holiday decor so not the best time to shoot brands (unless they’re Christmas related shoots).

  • Weekends often book in advance so make sure to book early.
